Last night the new members celebrated Chi Sis by getting a lovely pillow from one of the life time members. Clues were passed out, and each new member had to guess who their Chi Sis was. Most were able to figure it out and others just needed a little more help. They were all excited when they received their pillow and happy to get to know more of the life time members!

The house that Sami Healsip and Devin DeFusco helped build in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. They went on this trip with UNH Greek InterVarsity and worked for Habitat for Humanity.

International Badge Day/ Feather Party

In support of International Badge Day, many of the Alpha Chi Omega sisters dressed to pin for their classes. It was a great way for us all to show off our badges and look great going to class. This celebration to honor sisterhood was started in 1997 by the National Panhellenic Conference.

Later that night, many sister came to the house to enjoy a feather party. This activity was planned by our lovely new members and it gave everyone the chance to do something fun with their hair. Everyone was excited to pick out which color they wanted in their hair and the results were quite gorgeous.

Northeast Executive Board Retreat

Today, the Alpha Tau chapter of Alpha Chi Omega made their way down to MIT for the Northeast Executive Board Retreat. Other Alpha Chi's in attendance were the chapters from MIT, URI, and UMass. The event started off with an introduction by Jennifer Crotty and then a talk about expectations. We also learned more about how to delegate to each of our committees and then a mock chapter meeting was held. Afterwards, lunch was served and each officer went to a specific breakout session. Upon returning, a mock CRSB meeting was held along with instructions on how to fill out an event planning pack. Finally, we learned more about the collegiate Experience Volunteer Team and before we knew it the day was over.

Kristin's Story

Tonight the UNH Greek community was lucky enough to have Andrea Copper of Kristin's Story speak to us at our Grand Chapter. Andrea Copper is a member of Delta Delta Delta and her daughter Kristin was an Alpha Chi Omega. Kristin's Story is a presentation about Kristin's rape, depression, and subsequent suicide. It was truly a moving presentation and all who were present learned much from Andrea.

Following Grand Chapter, members of the UNH Greek community along with Andrea Copper were welcomed back to Alpha Chi Omega for a dessert reception organized by VP Fraternal Relations, Paige Fagan.
